Week 2 Recap:
Week two saw only one day of live racing due to smoke on Saturday, leading to the cancellation of races to ensure athlete safety. Friday featured 3 quarter horse races followed by 4 thoroughbred races. Notable events included two $25,000 Allowance Events won by Force to Rekn With and Toriador. Race 6 witnessed Lil Zapper, owned by C and H Duggan, claiming victory, while Tim Rycroft and Jose Asencio teamed up with Common Knowledge triumphing in Race 7. This weekend, an additional day of racing is scheduled for Sunday to make up for the cancellations due to smoke last weekend.

Friday, May 17th, Century Mile hosts a competitive 7-race card featuring intense showdowns. Races 5 and 6 present allowance optional claiming events, adding extra intrigue. Race 5 showcases contenders Riverside and Derzkii over six and a half furlongs, while Race 6 features Stone Carver and Smart Play competing fiercely over five furlongs. Cape Comander will be back in action in race 7 after a nice victory in a $35,000 maiden Special weight on opening day.
